You will notice that we have advertisements on our site – on the side banner and within some of our blog posts. Our aim is to partner with advertisers who offer relevant services to our readers.
If a reader clicks on an advertisement and books a service or good through our page, we may receive a commission from the advertiser if the transaction is fully completed.
We follow the New Zealand ASA Guidelines.
Some posts on Coconut Lands contain affiliate links. This means that if you click on an affiliate link, go through to the retailer and purchase a product or service, we may receive a small percentage of your purchase. In order that readers can tell whether a link we include is an affiliate link or not, we mark our affiliate links with an asterisk *.
NO COST TO READERS
Readers who book through advertisements or affiliate links on our site will not pay any extra for doing so. Sometimes our partners provide us with preferential discount links for our readers.
However, if readers prefer not to use our links they can search for the advertiser’s web site in a separate browser and book with them directly.
This is an ad and PR-friendly blog. Our honest opinion will always be given. Suppliers and/or manufacturers of the services or products we feature will never influence the content of our blog posts.
WHAT WE DO WITH THE MONEY
Any revenue earned through advertising and affiliate marketing helps pay for our site’s costs: hosting fees, domain and privacy registration, content creation including the purchase of images when we need to supplement our own collection.
We contribute 5% of any remaining profit to our two supported charities, Voluntary Service Overseas and Lattitude. Please see our About us page for further details.
We aim to be fully transparent about marketing activity on our site. If you have any questions please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
