WHERE WE SHIP
Coconut Lands ships to addresses in New Zealand, Australia, the US and Canada.
Our point of difference is that all our products are hand-made to order. This means that delivery times can be a little longer than you may be used to from online stores. Our makers typically need 1-6 working days to make the product. Delivery is then in the hands of our shipping companies and couriers. The current pandemic means that delivery services are longer than usual and subject to delays. Unfortunately we have no control over this. Where available, customers can choose to pay for expedited shipping.
Shipping times also vary depending on the customer’s location, the supplier’s location and international conditions. Most normal shipping times range from 3 to 20 days, but during the pandemic it has not been possible to guarantee shipping times. Customers ordering from our store must agree to accept this situation as it is beyond our control.
In most cases, goods are sent directly from our supplier to the customer. We work with suppliers in New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and the US so that we can expedite shipping times to customers in our main markets.
Further information is given on individual product pages. We regret that some goods cannot be sent to PO Box addresses or military addresses – please refer to shipping information on individual product pages for details.
Unlike many stores, we do not add any profit to our shipping costs. The prices given for shipping are those levied by our carriers. Some of them offer expedited shipping at extra cost – please see product descriptions for details. The total shipping costs for your order will appear on the checkout page.
If a customer needs to return a product and Coconut Lands has accepted the return according to our refunds and returns policies, we will refund all shipping charges as well as the original cost of the item. However, we do not refund the cost of any government customs charges or related taxes paid by customers (please see ‘customs charges’ section below).
CUSTOMS CHARGES AND TAXES (GOODS AND SERVICES TAX, VALUE ADDED TAX)
It is possible that your order will be sent to you directly from one of our offshore suppliers. Depending on your country’s rules, it is possible that your government will charge you customs duty and/or goods and services tax before you can receive your order. It is worth checking the web pages of your country’s customs service to determine whether you are likely to be charged, and how much. Please note, all such charges are the customer’s responsibility. Coconut Lands will not refund the cost of these charges under any circumstances, including for returned goods.
If you receive your goods and refuse to pay customs charges, the goods will be returned to us and we will have to pay the customs charges. We will deduct the cost of these charges from your refund, as we are not liable for them.
